Falling

The story

My earliest childhood memory of my mum tumbling down all the steps from the top to the bottom at Brighton aquarium with my sister who was a baby about 6 months old in her arms.

Lyrics

I could not see
You protected me
When I was small
Hmm

From a distance
Wrapped your body around mine, inclined, inclined
Hit the ground with a force, bodies aching, and so was mine

I'm falling down
Falling, falling down
Falling down

The consequences were unknown
Repercussions, rippling through your life
Weighing it down, down, down

While floating like a cloud
High up in the sky flying
So high, then you hit the ground with such a force
Hit the ground with a force

Falling down
Falling
Falling down
Falling down

Body's broken, but you endure
The drugs you take don't work anymore
For your selfless act, I thank you
I thank you evermore while you're laying on the floor

Broken, broken into
Falling down
I'm right there with you
Falling down

Oh, falling down
Oh, I love you
Yes, I do
Falling down

We're falling with you, we're falling down
