Becoming a Full-Time Carer

I've made one of the biggest decisions of my life. I've stepped away from a senior leadership role to become the full-time carer for my disabled wife and to be more present for our four amazing, autistic children.

For the past five years, I've been holding everything together. Leading teams and building cutting-edge AI tools at work. Caregiving, parenting, running the household. Studying and learning new ideas in both coaching and AI.

I coped the only way I knew how. I worked harder. I took on more. I slept less. I convinced myself I could outrun the stress. I was wrong.

Time is limited. And what we choose to do with it is what really matters.

One of my team told me this felt like the end of an era. My response: it's the start of a new one.
